\r\nMicrosoft Azure Pack for Windows Server:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Microsoft Azure<\/a> provides huge amounts of infrastructure that we can utilize to run applications and systems, with the ability to run a huge amount of workloads.<\/p>\r\n

And, you can always scale up or out accordingly.<\/p>\r\n

We can set up an environment that closely resembles our production environment, and it won’t even cost a small fortune because we only pay for the resources and time that we use!<\/p>\r\n

One of the ways the cloud really stands out is in its scalability. Sometimes, the usage of our apps and services spike or drop off, at other times the usage may be completely unpredictable.<\/p>\r\n

In both cases, Azure<\/a> can scale out and go up to meet demand, or scale back in and go down when the load decreases.<\/p>\r\n

This scalability enables our applications and technology to grow as fast as our business.<\/p>\r\n

And, if we want to turn our systems off for a period of time, we won’t have any new deliverables to test and won’t be spending money on wasted and underutilized resources.<\/p>\r\n

How to install azure pack for Windows Server:-<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Requirements are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Hardware Requirements<\/p>\r\n

RAM: 8 GB (do not use dynamic memory)<\/p>\r\n

HDD Space: 40 GB<\/p>\r\n

Software Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Windows Server 2012<\/p>\r\n

Microsoft Web Platform Installer 4.6<\/p>\r\n

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack (SP) 1<\/p>\r\n

Internet Information Services (IIS) 8 (built-in component of Windows Server 2012) or IIS 8.5 (built-in component of Windows Server 2012 R2)<\/p>\r\n

.NET Framework 4.5 Extended with ASP.NET for Windows 8<\/p>\r\n

Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Install Windows Server:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1)<\/strong>\u00a0Download and install\u00a0Windows Server 2012 R2<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n3)<\/strong>\u00a0In the Server Manager dialog, go to Local Server Properties, click on the IE Enhanced Security Configuration link.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n5)\u00a0<\/strong>On Server Roles screen, select\u00a0Web Server<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>(IIS).<\/p>\r\n

\r\n8)\u00a0<\/strong>On Web Server Role (IIS) screen, read the information presented, then click on\u00a0Next.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

9)\u00a0<\/strong>On Role Services section, make sure that the following is selected, then click on\u00a0Next.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

10)<\/strong>\u00a0Next, we will get Conformation tab and select\u00a0Install<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

11)\u00a0<\/strong>Next, on Result Screen click on\u00a0Close.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Installing the Microsoft Web Platform Installer:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>First, you have to Download the latest version of the\u00a0Microsoft Web Platform<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>Start the installation of the web platform.<\/p>\r\n

3)\u00a0<\/strong>Read the License Agreement and Accept it, click on\u00a0Install.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

4)\u00a0<\/strong>Once the installation complete, select\u00a0Finish.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Installing the Portal and API Express option:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>Click\u00a0Start<\/strong>\u00a0button to start the Web Platform Installer.<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>Write Azure Pack in the search box. Click\u00a0Add\u00a0<\/strong>next to Azure Pack: Portal and API Express, and then click on\u00a0Install<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

3)\u00a0<\/strong>Accept all terms and conditions on Prerequisites page.<\/p>\r\n

4)\u00a0<\/strong>The installation begins. Your machine might restart during the installation process.<\/p>\r\n

5)\u00a0<\/strong>After installation, ensure that all Internet Explorer windows are closed, and then click\u00a0Continue<\/strong>\u00a0to start the Service Management Configuration site.<\/p>\r\n

6)\u00a0<\/strong>In case Internet Explorer security certificate warning page is displayed, click on\u00a0Continue to this website.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

7)<\/strong>\u00a0On the Database Server Setup page, enter the name of the database server or instance of Microsoft SQL Server.<\/p>\r\n

8)\u00a0<\/strong>Choose the mode of authentication that you want to use, SQL Server Authentication or Windows Authentication.\u00a0Reference<\/a>\u00a0in which mode to use.<\/p>\r\n

9)\u00a0<\/strong>Enter a passphrase that is to be used to encrypt and to decrypt data in the Configuration Store.<\/p>\r\n

Enter the passphrase again to confirm it, and then click on the next arrow.<\/p>\r\n

10)\u00a0<\/strong>On the Customer Experience Improvement Program, choose if you wish to participate in the program or not.<\/p>\r\n

11)\u00a0<\/strong>The features that are to be installed are listed on the Features Setup page.<\/p>\r\n

12)<\/strong>\u00a0After the features are successfully configured, click on the\u00a0check<\/strong>\u00a0mark in the bottom right corner of the Features Setup.<\/p>\r\n

13)<\/strong>\u00a0To go to the management portal for tenants, open an internet browser and go to\u00a0https:\/\/localhost:20921\/#Workspaces\/All\/dashboard\u00a0.<\/p>\r\n

14)<\/strong>\u00a0The management portal for tenants allows tenants to subscribe to plans and add-ons, upload certificates, manage their accounts, and more.<\/p>\r\n

15)<\/strong>\u00a0Once complete installation of the components of Azure Pack Expression.
