\r\nWhat is Amazon Command Line Interface?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a tool that you can use to download, manage and configure AWS services. You can control multiple AWS<\/a> services from the command line and automate them through scripts.<\/p>\r\n

How to setup AWS CLI<\/strong>:-<\/p>\r\n

Before you start using the AWS Command Line Interface, you have to sign up for an AWS account and set up your CLI environment. Depending on your operating system there are different ways to install the AWS CLI.<\/p>\r\n

The following steps will help you to install AWS CLI:-<\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>Sign up with AWS<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>Install the AWS Command Line Interface<\/p>\r\n

3)\u00a0<\/strong>Configure the AWS Command Line Interface.<\/p>\r\n

You can sign up using the AWS Management Console. You can also use IAM access keys instead of AWS account access keys.<\/p>\r\n

IAM keeps your account secure and controls access to AWS services.<\/p>\r\n

How to Sign Up for Amazon Web Services:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

To use Amazon Web Services, you have to sign up for an AWS account:-<\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>Open\u00a0http:\/\/aws.amazon.com,then\u00a0click \u201cSign Up<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>Follow the on-screen instructions.<\/p>\r\n

3)\u00a0<\/strong>Part of the sign-up procedure you will receive a phone call and have to verify your account by entering PIN.<\/p>\r\n

At any time, you can view your current account and manage your account by going through this\u00a0and clicking My Account\/Console.<\/p>\r\n

Here are the some keys which we use while creating an account in AWS console.<\/p>\r\n

a)<\/strong>\u00a0Region<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 AWS region to call your requests.<\/p>\r\n

b) Output<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Command output format<\/p>\r\n

c) AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 AWS access key.<\/p>\r\n

d) AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 AWS secret key.<\/p>\r\n

Access and secret key credentials stored in credential and configure files.<\/p>\r\n

\r\nYou can sign up with AWS by using Access keys. \r\nInstallation of Command Line Interface:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

There are different ways to install the AWS CLI<\/a> on your machine, depending on what operating system you are using. For example,<\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>On Microsoft Windows \u2013 use the MSI installer<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>On Linux, OS X, or UNIX \u2013 use pip or install manually using bundled installer. On Linux, you can use the bundled installer to install the AWS CLI.<\/p>\r\n

Install the AWS CLI Using the Bundled Installer (Linux):<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The bundled installer handles all the details in setting up an isolated environment for the AWS CLI and its dependencies.<\/p>\r\n

Note: The bundled installer does not support installing to paths that contain spaces.<\/p>\r\n

Requirements:<\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>Linux, OS X, or UNIX<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>Python 2.6.3 or later<\/p>\r\n

$\u00a0Python –version<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

If your computer doesn\u2019t have Python installed,<\/p>\r\n

1)<\/strong>\u00a0Download the Python package for your operating system.<\/p>\r\n

2)<\/strong>\u00a0Install Python by following the instructions in the README file (Linux, OS X, or UNIX).<\/p>\r\n

To install the AWS CLI using the bundled installer follow these steps:-<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\r\nInstall the AWS CLI without Sudo (Linux, macOS, or UNIX)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\r\nThis installs the AWS CLI to the default location as (~\/.local\/lib\/aws<\/code>) and creates a symbolic link as (symlink) at\u00a0~\/bin\/aws<\/code>.<\/p>\r\n

1)\u00a0<\/strong>By using the bundled installer, you are assured to have the latest version of AWS CLI.<\/p>\r\n

2)\u00a0<\/strong>The bundled installer includes the AWS CLI, its dependencies and manipulation, program execution perform the installation for you.<\/p>\r\n

The benefits of using the AWS CLI:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1) You can develop shell scripts to manage resources<\/p>\r\n

2) You have direct access to the AWS services\u2019 public APIs.<\/p>\r\n

3) You can use all of the functionality provided by the AWS Management Console.<\/p>\r\n

4) Provides\u00a0low level\u00a0commands for complete control and\u00a0high level\u00a0commands which simplify using a complex service.<\/p>\r\n

Test the AWS CLI Installation:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n
